Licensing of Rev’d Dr Emma Whittick as Minor Canon

It was with great joy that the Rev’d Dr Emma Whittick was licensed as the Bishop’s Chaplain and Minor Canon of Brecon Cathedral on Sunday afternoon. Emma’s role in the Cathedral will involve pastoral care, sharing in priestly ministry of the occasional offices like baptisms, marriages and funerals. With the Dean and Precentor she will share in the teaching and preaching ministry, as well as taking part in the spiritual discipline of daily prayer and presiding at Cathedral Eucharists. With the Dean, Precentor, staff, volunteers and congregation she will also share her gifts in developing and growing the Cathedral congregation in the years ahead.
