Brecon Jazz Mindset Stage opening show: Rhetoric of Rock with Simon Lancaster

What better way to start at Brecon Cathedral, than with Simon Lancaster, one of the world’s top speechwriters, and one of Brecon Jazz Festival’s favourite pianists.

In this one hour talk, he will combine his two worlds and show how a Jazz Mindset guides his speechwriting. He will reveal the treasure chest of timeless structures and ‘licks’ that regularly feature in famous songs and speeches, but which date back to Ancient Rhetoric. An interactive, inspiring and entertaining talk in which Simon will play songs, show videos and even improvise speeches on the spot based on your suggestions!
