Colla Voce Choir Visit

Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August

Colla Voce is an invitation choir which first formed in 2015 to sing a summer Evensong in Tewkesbury Abbey. Since then it has gathered each summer for a weekend, generally in late July (save for 2020 and 2021 when the pandemic caused the cancellation of its bookings). The choir has sung three times in Tewkesbury Abbey, twice in Gloucester Cathedral, once in Ripon Cathedral and, in 2019, in Brecon. The majority of singers come from invitation or auditioned English choirs. Colla Voce’s Music Director is a choir trainer, conductor, singer and former schoolteacher based in Leicestershire. This year’s organist is an accomplished player based in a Church of England benefice in Leicester Diocese.

The choir will be singing Evensong on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons as well as leading the Cathedral Eucharist on the Sunday morning.
